L&L; Hawaiian Barbecue is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier / Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently operating the front counter. Team members will accurately process customer orders, maintain a clean and organized dining area, restock inventory, and support daily restaurant operations to ensure an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process cash, credit card, and digital payments while maintaining accurate cash drawer balances.
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items, promotions, and restaurant policies.
• Package takeout orders and verify order accuracy before serving customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter and dining area.
• Refill refrigerated beverages and ensure drink displays remain fully stocked.
• Replenish ice for beverage stations and kitchen needs as required.
• Restock condiments, utensils, napkins, sauces, and other front-of-house supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels of beverages and front counter supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, beverage stations, windows, and high-touch surfaces throughout each shift.
• Sweep, mop, and perform general cleaning duties to maintain restaurant cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including stocking, cleaning, and preparing the restaurant for service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

• Dependable, punctual, and a reliable team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Previous cashier or restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Skills
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling experience.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
