Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused New Account Representative to join our dynamic banking team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for new and existing clients, helping them open accounts, manage transactions, and navigate our financial services with confidence. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with opening new accounts, including checking, savings, and specialized financial products.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, and other banking transactions accurately using financial software and cash management systems.
• Promote bank products and services through upselling opportunities such as loans, credit cards, or investment options to meet customer needs.
• Identify potential fraud or suspicious activity during transactions and implement fraud prevention and detection procedures to safeguard customer assets.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including debits & credits, loan processing steps, and account updates.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships by providing personalized service, addressing inquiries promptly, and offering financial advice when appropriate.
• Support team efforts in retail math calculations like balancing cash drawers and performing basic math tasks such as 10 key typing efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in banking, retail sales, or customer service is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in cash handling, cashiering, and basic math skills including retail math and banking calculations.
• Knowledge of financial sales techniques and relationship management strategies to upsell products effectively.
• Familiarity with financial software systems and cash management tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude that fosters trust and rapport with clients.
• Ability to perform detailed tasks involving debits & credits, cash handling, and loan processing accurately under pressure.
