Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in retail settings to understand their electrical and lighting needs, providing expert guidance on product selection and application.
• Conduct product demonstrations, explaining features, benefits, and installation processes to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
• Utilize tools like SketchUp or CAD to assist clients with layout design, lighting plans, and renovation concepts that meet their aesthetic and functional goals.
• Upsell complementary products such as fixtures, wiring solutions, or remodeling accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Manage inside sales activities including order processing, and inventory stocking to ensure seamless customer service.
• Develop strong account management relationships by following up on projects, providing technical support, and offering ongoing maintenance advice.
• Collaborate with marketing efforts by participating in product demos, merchandising displays, and promotional events to attract new customers and boost high-end sales.

Requirements

• Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within electrical, lighting, renovation, or construction industries.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, CAD software, or lighting design tools to assist with layout planning and client presentations.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to close high-value sales effectively.
• Knowledge of remodeling processes, interior design principles, and construction practices is highly desirable.
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for pricing, measurements, and inventory management accurately.
• Exceptional organizational skills to handle stock management, merchandising setups, and customer account records efficiently.
