Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our dynamic automotive parts and accessories team. In this role, you will serve as the frontline representative, providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them in selecting the right parts and solutions for their vehicle needs. Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their needs and providing expert advice on automotive parts, accessories, and repair solutions.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting appropriate parts using automotive diagnostics tools and inventory systems.
• Manage inventory control by stocking shelves accurately, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring the availability of high-demand items.
• Process sales transactions efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales, and inventory movements using Microsoft Office applications and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge sharing, and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the service department or mechanics to facilitate order fulfillment for vehicle repairs or maintenance.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling of automotive parts and accessories to maximize sales opportunities.
• Support marketing initiatives by promoting new products or special offers to customers.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies during all operational activities. Skills
• Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Proven experience in retail sales management within an automotive dealership or parts store environment.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with automotive repair processes, dealership operations, and inventory management systems such as CMMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) along with POS systems for transaction processing.
• Ability to handle cash accurately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette for client communication.
• Organizational skills necessary for stock management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting client relationships through effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of automotive parts sales strategies including retail math for pricing and profit margins.
• Experience with automotive parts management software and inventory control practices.
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for pricing, discounts, and sales analysis.
• Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle maintenance procedures enhances customer assistance capabilities. Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
