and Mission The United Dairy Farmers Business Development Manager (BDM) will work out of our corporate headquarters located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The BDM contributes to the overall success of United Dairy Farmers' ice cream brands by collaborating across sales, category analytics, manufacturing, marketing, and accounting to deliver key business goals. and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Possesses strong communication skills and is comfortable interfacing with sales, manufacturing, marketing and accounting to ensure seamless product rollouts and item authorizations Account Strategy & Growth: Serve as the lead point of contact for strategic wholesale accounts, developing joint business plans that hit volume and profitability targets Data-Driven Merchandising: Analyze shopper and loyalty data to optimize shelf placement, planograms, and feature ads and off-shelf displays Trade Spend & Promotions: Forecast sales volumes, execute promotional planning, and manage trade investments to ensure a high Return on Investment (ROI)

Qualifications

Experience: 510 years of CPG sales or account management experience. Direct experience working with Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, or similar major retail partners is highly preferred Retailer Systems: Proficiency with retailer-specific systems and data platforms (e.g., 1WorldSync, Kroger 84.51 & V.I.P., Walmart Retail Link & Scintilla Charter, Meijer Vendor Net Technical Tools: Familiarity with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) tools, category management principles, and digital e-commerce/omnichannel strategies Software: Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Data Analytics: Ability to mine and analyze multiple complex data sources to make productive recommendations and build compelling category strategies Influence & Negotiation: Proven experience negotiating and influencing decisions, with the ability to sell persuasively and collaborate both internally and externally Project Management: Exceptionally organized and proficient at setting priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously Adaptability: Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building diverse, collaborative professional relationships.
