Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Art & Furniture Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and providing exceptional service in a vibrant shopping environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for art and furniture. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse clientele. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting art pieces and furniture that meet their needs and preferences
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of various items
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
• Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and organization
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product knowledge, and resolving issues promptly
• Perform cashier duties with proper phone etiquette and professional communication skills
• Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily operations when needed

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in furniture or home decor stores
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills, including effective phone etiquette and customer engagement techniques
• Ability to perform upselling and suggestive selling to enhance sales performance
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is highly desirable
• Bilingual skills are a plus for serving a diverse customer base
• Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail transactions
• Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are valued
