Your Role We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
You will be expected to manage the following primary objectives:
- Cultivate and maintain essential partnerships with industry stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and clients within the Advanced Composites sector.
- Boost overall revenue by securing new business accounts and expanding existing partnerships through strategic upselling and cross-selling.
- Evaluate competitor movements, shifting customer requirements, and broader market patterns to refine our commercial approach.
- Work alongside internal departments such as operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure clients receive customized, effective solutions.
- Finalize intricate agreements with industry partners to help secure long-term value and ensure project profitability.
- Represent our organization at various networking events, conferences, and trade shows to expand our professional reach.
- Deliver consistent updates and accurate forecasts regarding sales pipelines, revenue goals, and general business development progress.
- Partner with management and legal teams to draft and finalize commercial contracts, such as supply agreements and joint development projects, to protect company interests and solidify client ties.
- Contribute to our product roadmap by translating customer feedback and market intelligence into actionable insights for R&D; and engineering teams, ultimately helping to bring new, profitable solutions to market.
Qualifications
Required Expertise and Competencies
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience in a relevant technical field.
- Direct experience engaging with customers and manufacturers in the advanced composites space, with specific knowledge of carbon fiber, epoxies, fiberglass, or processes like BMC and SMC.
- A demonstrated history of successfully selling technical products and materials.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to deliver compelling presentations.
- A solid understanding of current market dynamics within the composites, adhesives, and sealants sectors.
- The ability to influence key decision-makers and build lasting professional relationships through expert negotiation.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities.
- A keen eye for detail, strong financial management skills, and a proactive approach to solving complex problems.
- The flexibility to travel for business, both domestically and abroad, up to 40% of the time. Technical Proficiency
