Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, understanding their vehicle concerns and service needs with enthusiasm.
• Write detailed repair orders and estimates using estimating software, accurately documenting vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
• Communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle's condition, repair options, and costs, effectively upselling additional services when appropriate.
• Collaborate with technicians to understand vehicle diagnostics, mechanical issues, and repair procedures such as transmissions, brake repair, suspension, and diesel engine repairs.
• Manage service workflow by prioritizing repairs, coordinating parts availability, and ensuring timely completion of services like oil changes, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, air brakes, and collision repairs.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service activities and client interactions.
• Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare precise repair estimates for collision or general automotive repairs.

Requirements

• Two years minimum of experience is required
• Proven experience in dealership or automotive service environments with a strong background in auto service management or service writing.
• Mechanical experience or mechanic background preferred; familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair processes is essential.
• Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided estimating tools for accurate damage assessment and repair planning.
• Knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and tire services.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Sales experience with a focus on upselling automotive services or automobile sales is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles when needed.
