We are looking for a hard working candidate that is dedicated to creating lasting relationships with our members and clients in our beautiful clubhouse located right on the Columbia River. The space sells itself with a large patio overlooking the river, clubhouse space that can accommodate 400 guests, 2 bars, and a professional chef and staff hungry for more functions. Our ideal candidate is flexible and willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary. This candidate must have strong sales skills and is comfortable with grass-roots marketing efforts and cold calling. He or she must be a strong leader with restaurant experience and is comfortable in managing a large staff during events. He or she must be self-driven to grow an established, profitable department that has more room to grow. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedule may be subject to change in order to meet company needs/business requirements. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following: -Understands target market and creates marketing plans to reach them -Responds to inquiries in a timely fashion, by email and phone calls, with proper follow up to make sale -Researches the competition, compiles a competitive analysis annually -Manages staffing for functions. Reports to food and beverage manager on schedule needs. - Works with chef on creative compelling catering menus -Works with food and beverage manager on catering beverage program -Manages catering equipment -Creates point of sale materials for inside and outside sales -Works with membership committees for inside, club sponsored events. - Manages the invoicing and payments from the clients. - Understands and meets quarterly and annual sales and profit goals. - Schedules security for all outside functions. - Manages costs associated with events. - Manages team members during events. - Ensures 100% guest satisfaction for all clients. - Attends local trade shows relevant to the business. - Creates a database of clients for future emails and other informational blasts -Maintains flexibility, optimism and energy and sets an example for staff. - Supports restaurant management staff and works at least one floor management shift a week. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
