Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Associate Trade Sales Representative, where you will be at the forefront of building strong relationships with trade customers and driving sales growth. The Associate Trade Sales Representative (Rep) role is designed to prepare an individual for a future position as an outside Trade Sales Rep. This position requires learning and understanding Pella's product offerings and quoting systems, while interacting with a wide variety of builders, contractors, and homeowners. This role is intended to prepare the successful candidate for an outside sales position within approximately 618 months; however, the timeline may vary based on the candidate's development and the availability of Trade Sales Rep positions. The Associate Trade Sales Rep will be mentored by a Trade Sales Rep within the branch and will initially spend time in a Pella showroom providing sales support to customers and explaining the Pella value package.

Duties

• Assist with the sales process in the field and in Pella showrooms. Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Assist with blueprint reading. Support the sales team by using PQM and CRM to generate quotes and track customer interactions. Attend Pella sales training and local workshops as they become available. Represent Pella, as needed, at company-sponsored events, professional group invitations to discuss or present Pella products, trade association meetings, and builder home shows. Acquire in-depth knowledge of Pella's product offerings and the competitive landscape. Develop an understanding of, and adhere to, the Trade Selling Process in all sales-related interactions. Collaborate with Operations teams to support successful after-sale service requirements. Occasionally work variable, non-traditional hours and make oneself available to customers during evenings and weekends. Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual's motor vehicle record must comply with company requirements. Must be able to manage multiple tasks in an environment with frequent interruptions and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
