Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Associate to join our metal building components and metal building sales division. This role combines material estimating, customer relationship management, and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal building systems including both field fabricated WELD-UP structures and Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings. Must be familiar with building drawings, estimating, and material sales while possessing the ability to identify new opportunities and grow market share. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining customer relationships, preparing estimates and proposals, and managing projects from initial inquiry through order placement and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow sales of metal building components and pre-engineered metal buildings.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, developers, builders, and end users.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Review architectural, structural, and metal building drawings to prepare accurate quotations and estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, production, and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare basic drawings, proposals, bids, and pricing packages for customers.
• Track sales opportunities and maintain an active pipeline of projects.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Assist customers with product selection, value engineering, and project solutions.
• Meet or exceed established sales and profitability goals.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the metal building industry.
• Extensive knowledge of metal building components for both Weld-Up and Pre-Engineered buildings.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience estimating residential and commercial metal building projects.
• Proven track record of sales growth and business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed. Preferred
• Experience with metal building estimating.
• Existing relationships within the metal building, commercial construction, or industrial construction markets.
• Experience managing sales teams or sales operations.
• Knowledge of detailing, fabrication, and metal building manufacturing processes.
