Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Licensed Health Insurance Specialist to join our team! Cuba Insurance Agency is a small, independent brokerage dedicated to serving individuals, families and small businesses throughout Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas. For more than 30 years, we have helped our clients navigate the often confusing world of health and life insurance by providing personalized service, education, and solutions tailored to their unique needs. In this vital role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complex landscape of health insurance options. Your energetic approach will help clients understand their benefits, navigate plan selections, and ensure they receive the coverage that best fits their needs. Your expertise in insurance sales combined with excellent communication skills will empower you to build lasting relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. Duties

• Assist clients in understanding various health insurance plans, including benefits administration and coverage options
• Conduct outside sales efforts by reaching out to prospective clients through telemarketing, retail sales, and community engagement
• Negotiate policy terms and premium rates with clients to secure optimal coverage solutions
• Provide detailed analysis of insurance plans to help clients make informed decisions
• Manage sales administration tasks such as documentation, policy processing, and record keeping
• Communicate complex insurance information clearly and effectively, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage renewals, follow-up activities, and ongoing client support
• Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Health Insurance Specialist or equivalent certification required
• Proven experience in insurance sales, retail sales, or telemarketing with a focus on health coverage
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to analyze insurance options critically
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with benefits administration, sales administration, and customer service best practices
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and data security
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must obtain own E&O; Insurance
• CMS certification required
• Work weekends and long hours during open enrollment period

Compensation

• Base salary plus commission
