Position Summary
The Director of Market Expansion is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic growth initiatives that expand the company's footprint within the light industrial staffing market. This role focuses on entering new geographic territories, acquiring new clients, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth while collaborating with operations to ensure successful service delivery. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales leader with extensive staffing industry experience and a proven track record of opening new markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute market expansion strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Identify and evaluate new geographic markets, industry verticals, and business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehousing, food production, and other light industrial sectors.
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to ensure operational readiness for new client implementations.
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish annual sales goals, expansion plans, and revenue forecasts.
- Develop strategic partnerships with economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, workforce agencies, and industry associations.
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to adjust growth strategies as needed.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and client meetings.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline activity within the company's CRM.
- Mentor and support business development staff as expansion efforts grow. Experience
- Seven (7) or more years of staffing industry experience, with a strong focus on light industrial staffing.
- Five (5) or more years of business development or sales leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success opening new markets and developing high-value client relationships.
- Experience negotiating staffing agreements and workforce solutions.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, recruiting, and staffing operations. Required Skills
- Strong consultative sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic planning and market analysis expertise.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Bullhorn, Aviont, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or industrial sectors.
- Multi-state staffing experience.
- Experience launching new branch locations or expanding into new territories. B125 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
