A fast-growing home improvement company is seeking a District Retail Manager to lead retail sales operations, drive team performance, and support continued growth across assigned territories. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, uses data to make decisions, and knows how to coach teams to hit aggressive goals. The District Retail Manager will oversee a team of Brand Ambassadors, drive lead generation performance, improve sales efficiency, and work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for growth. Scope of Work
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Brand Ambassadors across assigned retail locations.
- Own lead generation performance, including appointment setting, completed appointments, sales opportunities, and conversion metrics.
- Use data to evaluate performance, identify gaps, and make quick adjustments to improve results.
- Partner with sales and leadership teams to align retail performance with overall business goals.
- Manage territory performance, staffing needs, sales activity, and team productivity.
- Track and improve key performance indicators, including appointment volume, show rate, close rate, and overall pipeline health.
- Monitor budget, headcount, and sales performance to maximize return on investment.
- Present results, priorities, forecasts, and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Support new initiatives, sales models, and process improvements to increase team effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership experience in retail sales, lead generation, field marketing, or a similar high-volume sales environment.
- Strong understanding of retail sales, customer engagement, and lead generation.
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations or territories.
- Ability to analyze performance data and turn insights into action.
- Strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience partnering with sales teams to drive business results.
- Ability to stay calm, decisive, and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Must be willing to travel up to 75%.
- Must currently live in New York City.
