Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Assist customers in selecting products, answering questions, and offering personalized recommendations to boost sales through upselling techniques
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and purchase decisions
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly and assisting with inventory counts to support efficient store operations
• Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors, ensuring clear and professional interactions

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in team settings
• Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on active listening and clear articulation
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling, and cashiering is highly valued
• Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and retail calculations
