Full description of the position

We're looking for an experienced, patient-focused Optician to join our growing team. If you enjoy helping patients, selling quality eyewear, and working with a great team, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

• Help patients select frames and lenses
• Educate patients on lens options and coatings
• Fit, adjust, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear
• Verify and bill vision insurance
• Enter optical orders and process payments
• Contact patients regarding orders and pickups
• Maintain frame displays and inventory
• Cut and edge lenses (preferred)
• Work closely with physicians and staff to provide an outstanding patient experience

Qualifications

Required

• Previous Optician experience
• Experience selling prescription eyewear
• Knowledge of vision insurance verification and billing
• Experience adjusting and repairing eyewear
• Strong customer service and computer skills
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to travel between our Olathe and Leawood offices Preferred
• ABO Certification
• Experience operating an in-house lens edger We're Looking For Someone Who Is
