About Us
Swagelok Indiana | Cincinnati is the authorized Swagelok sales and service center supporting customers across Indiana, Central Kentucky, and Southwestern Ohio. We partner with companies in industries including clean energy, semiconductor, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, and life sciences to deliver high-quality fluid system solutions. We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with 3D CAD software, and a passion for solving technical challenges while working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
As an Application Engineer, you will support the design, quotation, and execution of custom fluid system solutions. You'll work closely with Account Managers, Field Engineers, CAD Specialists, and Production Technicians to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Design and quote fluid system assemblies and solutions using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to support customer projects
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
- Review project requirements to ensure designs meet customer specifications
- Participate in engineering reviews and production meetings
- Serve as a technical resource for assembly and fabrication questions
- Coordinate with vendors to support timely delivery of project components
- Complete and actively participate in Swagelok's Application Engineering training program What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 15+ years of engineering, application engineering, or related technical experience
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of fluid systems or instrumentation
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, analytical instrumentation, automotive, alternative fuels, or industrial systems
- Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems What Makes You Successful
