Job Title:

• Technical Service Manager (Americas) Employer Name: Daramic, LLC Location: 5525 Hwy. 2830, Owensboro, KY 42303 (Daviess county) Position Schedule: M-F / 7:00 am 4:00 pm Description:
• Maintain good working relationships with key technical counterparts within our customer's organizations and solve product-related technical issues as the lead Technical Service representative for North and South America.
• Provide technical sales support to achieve revenue and vitality index targets and coordinate customer visits and meetings with lead Sales representatives.
• Understand the market and develop relationships with the industry to support our market penetration objectives.
• Interface daily with other technical and commercial organizations within Daramic, including testing Laboratories, Pilot Lab, Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Operations.
• Maintain regular professional communication with the Daramic's other global Technical Service representatives and stay appraised of technology and market developments in other regions.
• Propose, monitor, and execute jointly developed plans with customers to meet their technical requirements, taking into account the customer's requests and Daramic's capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for the introduction of new products both internally and externally within the Americas market.
• Execute delegated authority of the Technical Service Manager with regard to the quality system, product deviations, sample order requests, and plant trials.
• Participate as a member of appropriate technical committees of the Battery Council International (BCI) and attend BCI functions as needed
• 20% travel domestic and international (North America, South America, Central America, and Caribbean) to customer sites and to solve technical issues

Qualifications

: Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related AND seven (7) years as Chemical Engineer, Electrochemist, technical management role, or related. Applicants must have 5 years' experience with: 1. lead-acid battery technology, engineering, and manufacturing Applicants must have demonstrative experience with: 2. manufacturer and use of separators 3. working with customers at all levels including senior management 4. promoting new products to increase revenue 5. working closely with Sales and Marketing teams 6. verbal and written communication skills including process instructions and report writing 7. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
