BAS Salesperson / Building Automation Salesperson / Controls Sales Engineer required for a building automation and controls sales role based in Latham, NY. This position is focused on winning new work across building automation, controls and DDC systems, including plan/spec, design/build and direct-to-owner projects. • 401(k) Savings Plan The BAS Salesperson / Building Automation Salesperson / Controls Sales Engineer Role:
• Develop and grow building automation sales within the branch territory.
• Identify, prequalify and progress new business opportunities.
• Review project plans and specifications to design and estimate complex DDC controls systems.
• Create and deliver proposal presentations and RFP responses.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, system sketches, scope definition, exclusions and vendor or subcontractor quotations.
• Develop technical proposals and detailed scope letters for building automation projects.
• Attend sales calls, pre-bid meetings and site assessments for potential projects.
• Build long-term relationships with consulting engineers, general contractors, mechanical contractors and building owners.
• Maintain a pipeline of customers and potential projects, with regular updates on opportunity status.

Requirements

:

• 2+ years of professional sales or project management experience within Building Automation, BAS, controls, automation or a related industry.
• Experience as a BAS Salesperson, Building Automation Salesperson, Controls Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager or similar technical sales role.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and how controls are applied to those systems.
• Ability to stay current with new DDC technology.
• Confident reviewing project plans, specifications and technical requirements.
• Valid driver's license. Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
