ABOUT THE POSITION DMGroup is hiring a Business Development Representative for its DMSchedules team. The Business Development Representative position offers an opportunity to play a critical role fulfilling our firm's mission to improve public education by delivering solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of schools through our DMSchedules platform ([please apply online] DMSchedules is a web-based scheduling application for Elementary Schools and Special Education. As the initial point of contact for prospective customers, this role has the potential to make an immediate impact on the growth of our business by generating qualified leads and scheduling product demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate with educators at all levels and demonstrate the advantages of using our scheduling platform to strategically align district and school goals with teaching and learning best practices. Moreover, this role is a catalyst for school improvement as customers begin to maximize their resources through the use of our DMSchedules solution. Successful candidates will bring a strong desire to exceed expectations and carry a goal-oriented mindset with an affinity for sales. LOCATION DMGroup's headquarters are located in Boston, MA. This role will be based out of the Boston office with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week based on schedule and team needs. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct a high volume of cold calls and outreach to prospective schools and district administrators.
  • Using a consultative approach to sales, clearly articulate the purpose and benefit of DMSchedules.
  • Qualify leads and schedule sales and product demo meetings with account managers.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and re-engage dormant accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies.
  • Leverage sales and marketing systems to capture and track activity and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and sales opportunity records and outreach notes.
  • Build awareness of DMSchedules and other DMGroup solutions with school districts and schools nationwide.
  • Engage in cross-functional marketing and sales team meetings to understand the full sales cycle, which includes lead generation, qualification of opportunities, product demonstrations, relationship building, understanding client requirements, developing proposals, and contract finalization activities.
  • Perform other sales-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate should have/be able to:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in an outside sales environment with high-volume calling/emailing
  • Ability to persevere after hearing no multiple times
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • High Emotional Intelligence
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Competency in Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar tools such as Outreach, Apollo, or Zoho
  • Competency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom and other industry standard software applications
  • Experience with and/or strong interest in education a plus
