We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Inside Sales Representative to join our team in the building materials industry. This role supports customers and sales reps by providing product information, processing orders, and delivering exceptional service across our lumber and building materials product lines. At Hardwoods Specialty Products, the Inside Sales team's top priority is to provide outstanding support to both our outside sales representatives and our customers. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys relationshipbuilding, problemsolving, and contributing to business growth in a fastpaced environment. Pay for this position is $24-$28/hour. Hours: Mon - Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Support outside sales team and customer base
• Become customers #2 point of contact, to allow for seamless customer service should outside rep be unavailable.
• Actively sell and service existing accounts via phone and email
• Prospect and develop new, exciting business relationships
• Learn about and promote new product lines
• Some basic purchasing and inventory management
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Provide customers with professional recommendations on options as well as pricing and availability data to meet customers' needs
• Process orders, and quotes in a timely manner
• Chase down information from suppliers/mills to either assist reps in the quoting process, or quote customers directly.
• Monitor stock levels for customer program items under your responsibility with guidance from outside rep or manager.
• Work in conjunction with operations to ensure efficient use of assets, while delivering a premium customer service experience.
• Ability to cross train and perform some critical operational tasks to help when needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required
• High school diploma
• Experience supporting outside sales team of 2 or more.
• Industry experience a plus
• Some experience in quoting, purchasing and basic inventory management
• Excellent communicator, good phone manner and email skills
• Good math competency. Proficient with computers (word, excel, CRM)
• Desire to work in a customer-centric sales role, excellent customer service skills and ability to upsell
• Problem solver, takes initiative, makes decision
• Sense of urgency, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task
• Ability to work well independently as well as being comfortable working with staff at all levels in the organization with different personalities
• Comfort utilizing social media for business applications a plus
• Good organizational and time management skills.
