Full description of the position

About Storm Power Components Storm Power Components supplies critical electrical and utility infrastructure products to customers across the power, utility, industrial, and renewable energy sectors. Our success is built on responsiveness, strong relationships, and the ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment. We are a growing company that values accountability, initiative, adaptability, and teamwork. We are looking for people who thrive in dynamic environments, embrace challenges, and take pride in delivering exceptional service to customers and partners.

Position Summary

Storm Power Components is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and emotionally intelligent professional to serve as the primary connection point between our customers, outside sales team, manufacturers' representative groups, and the various departments and operations teams within Storm. This is a full-time position working Monday Friday on location at Storm. This is not a traditional inside sales role. While customer support, quotations, and order management are important, the true value of this position lies in your ability to coordinate people, information, and priorities across multiple stakeholders. You will be the central hub that keeps communication flowing, projects moving forward, and customers informed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, outside sales representatives, manufacturers' rep groups, and the various departments and operations teams within Storm.
  • Coordinate communication across multiple stakeholders to ensure projects, quotes, orders, and customer requests move forward efficiently.
  • Manage customer inquiries, quotations, order processing, and follow-up activities.
  • Support outside sales representatives by coordinating account activity and helping drive opportunities to completion.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment, timely communication, and exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, and potential problems before they impact customers or project timelines.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted resource for information, updates, and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate customer, project, and sales records within company systems.
  • Learn product lines, industry applications, and company processes to better support customers and sales efforts.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns with professionalism, urgency, and sound judgment.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist in lead generation and cold calling to increase sales volume. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You remain calm and effective when things get busy, complicated, or unpredictable.
  • You enjoy bringing order to unpredictability and finding solutions to problems.
  • You learn quickly and can absorb new information without needing constant direction.
  • You are an independent thinker who can make sound decisions and take initiative.
  • You possess a high level of emotional intelligence and communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities.
  • You build trust easily and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales representatives, manufacturers' reps, and coworkers.
  • You naturally take ownership and don't wait for someone else to identify problems.
  • You can juggle multiple urgent requests while staying organized and detail-oriented.
  • You welcome constructive feedback and view coaching as an opportunity for growth.
  • You are self-aware, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • You are confident enough to make decisions independently, but humble enough to ask questions, seek guidance, and adjust course when needed. Education
