Description: About Action Gypsum Supply Action Gypsum Supply is an independently owned building material distributor with locations in Texas, California, Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Nevada. For over 20 years, they have grown through strong relationships with customers and vendors while continuing to innovate in the construction supply industry. Summary/Objective: Acoustical Sales Specialists are responsible for growing and maintaining a current customer base by providing an invaluable level of customer service through the sale of various building materials, with a concentrated effort on selling acoustical solutions.

Essential Functions

:

• Develop unique plans of action for each customer, track and monitor success, and adapt when necessary to ensure growth; effectively gather and capitalize on generated sales leads
• Build long-term customer relationships by providing price quotations, taking material orders, and ensuring orders are properly placed and delivered on time
• Provide competitive pricing to clients with an understanding of overall market conditions
• Understand complete product mixes and impart that information via cross-selling in order to add value to your customers' business
• Learn product features and associated customer benefits for major product categories and be familiar with the application of those products in residential and commercial projects.
• Maintain internal call logs and report to the Branch Manager/Management Team regularly on their efforts in the field. Competencies:

• Be able to negotiate pricing with customers as well as with suppliers as they pertain to specific product mixes

Education and Experience

:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales; building material or construction supply preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other basic computer programs
