Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Professional Full-Time | Pittsburgh, PA Are you a motivated, customer-focused professional looking to build a long- term career in property management? What You'll Do
Leasing & Marketing
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming atmosphere in the leasing office.
- Conduct apartment tours and effectively present community features and benefits.
- Maintain a high closing ratio by successfully leasing vacant and upcoming apartment homes.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, assist residents, and respond to prospect inquiries.
- Inspect model apartments and vacant units daily to ensure they are clean and show-ready.
- Assist with outreach marketing initiatives and resident retention programs.
- Stay informed of local market trends and provide marketing ideas to improve occupancy. Property Operations & Administration
- Process rental applications, complete verifications, and prepare lease documents and related addenda.
- Collect rent and security deposits in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate resident files and document all resident communications.
- Enter prospect traffic, follow up with leads, and send thank-you correspondence.
- Organize, scan, upload, and maintain electronic and physical records.
- Assist the Property Manager with reports, market surveys, occupancy reporting, and daily operations.
- Monitor office supply inventory and maintain an organized office environment.
- Conduct routine property inspections and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and curb appeal issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and accompany contractors when necessary. Compliance
- Conduct all business in accordance with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all company policies.
- Complete Fair Housing training within the first 90 days of employment if not already certified.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of lease agreements, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous leasing, customer service, administrative, or property management experience preferred.
- Strong leasing, sales, and closing abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Minor IT knowledge is a plus , including basic troubleshooting of computers, printers, internet connectivity, mobile devices, and office technology.
- Experience with property management software such as AppFolio is preferred but not required.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and a team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to walk the property, inspect apartments, and occasionally lift office supplies. Work Schedule This is a full-time position. Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays is required.
