About Midalloy Specialty Materials Midalloy Specialty Materials is a leading supplier of nickel alloy and specialty stainless steel long products: round bar, hex bar, wire rod, and flat products. We supply mission-critical, corrosion and heat-resistant materials to OEMs and manufacturers in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, marine and naval defense, aerospace, and thermal processing. The role We are hiring an Account Manager to grow our business across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma from our Houston location. You will combine inside sales execution with proactive outside selling to expand our footprint in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, and industrial markets, with additional opportunities in aerospace, defense, and marine. You will be backed by a stocked Houston warehouse (overhead cranes and in-house saw cutting) plus strong metallurgical and supply chain support, so you can quote fast and deliver reliably. This is a hunter role for someone who can own a territory, open doors, build high-value relationships, and be rewarded for it. What you will do

• Own revenue growth across TX/LA/OK, focused on new accounts and expanding existing customers.
• Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, presentations, negotiation, and close.
• Cover your territory consistently by phone, email, virtual, and in-person visits.
• Leverage local Houston inventory and quick-turn saw cutting to win time-sensitive business.
• Hit growth, new-account, revenue, and margin targets, and manage your pipeline in our BI/ERP tools.
• Partner with supply chain, quality, and technical teams to meet ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100 and customer specifications. What you will bring
• 5+ years of outside sales in metals distribution (nickel alloys and stainless steel) or a similar industrial field.
• Strong working knowledge of nickel alloys, stainless steel, and their applications in oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial markets.
• A track record of hitting growth and margin goals.
• Ability to read technical requirements and translate them into material solutions (metallurgical support provided).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Residence within the TX/LA/OK territory, comfort with roughly 25% regional travel, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred (experience plus education considered).
