Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Service all assigned retail accounts according to an established daily route.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with store management and key personnel.
  • Analyze each account to identify opportunities for increased sales and product distribution.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that balance company objectives with customer needs.
  • Promote new products, displays, shelf placement, cold box opportunities, and promotional programs.
  • Understand product features and recommend the best product assortment based on each store's customer base and location.
  • Open new accounts when opportunities exist and continue growing existing business. Order Management
  • Place orders according to each account's delivery schedule and order deadlines.
  • Communicate with store management before submitting orders to ensure products are authorized, properly activated, and have approved merchandising locations.
  • Forecast inventory needs for upcoming promotions and seasonal demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels to reduce out-of-stock situations and maximize sales opportunities. Technology & Sales Systems
  • Effectively operate the company-issued tablet and sales software.
  • Use company software to:
  • Submit customer orders.
  • Present sale sheets and promotional programs.
  • Review product catalogs.
  • Access product descriptions, pack sizes, pricing, SRPs, and nutrition information.
  • Review inventory availability.
  • Process product credits.
  • Send company emails.
  • Submit all orders before established cutoff times. Merchandising
Responsibilities
  • Merchandise products according to company and retailer merchandising standards.
  • Ensure products are properly rotated using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to minimize expired products and product credits.
  • Coordinate with Merchandiser Representatives by providing clear merchandising instructions and following up to verify work has been completed according to company standards.
  • Maintain attractive product displays by facing products, organizing shelves, and cleaning display areas, including dusting wine bottles when necessary.
  • Ensure all promotional signs, shelf tags, and point-of-sale materials are displayed correctly. Delivery & Inventory
Responsibilities
  • Occasionally assist with product deliveries when necessary.
  • When making a delivery, immediately scan and email the signed receiving report to the appropriate office personnel. Failure to submit receiving documentation may delay commission or payment processing.
  • Monitor inventory levels for both Flora Fine Foods and Orvino Wines warehouse and DSD products.
  • Work with store personnel to identify inventory discrepancies and request inventory counts when necessary. Customer Service
  • Maintain regular communication with store managers, receivers, and department personnel.
  • Work back stock when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain promotional displays.
  • Process product credits as necessary.
  • Ensure each account receives outstanding customer service and attention. Training New Sales Representatives will receive four weeks of training under the direction of their immediate supervisor. Training may include accompanying another Sales Representative on an established route. If overnight travel is required for training purposes, approved lodging and travel expenses will be paid by the company. Professional Standards Employees are expected to:
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
  • Wear dress pants or slacks with a tucked-in polo shirt or button-down shirt.
  • Company-issued identification must be worn whenever required.
  • Blue jeans, hats, and white athletic shoes are not permitted while representing the company.
  • Check company email each morning and periodically throughout the workday.
  • Record each customer visit and daily mileage from the first stop to the last stop using the SureMobile app on the company-issued iPad. Daily trip summaries should be submitted either each day or at the end of each workweek, as directed by management. Physical

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift and move product as needed.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Drive daily between customer accounts.
  • Occasionally move displays and cases of product.
