Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of landlord- tenant law, and the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients and tenants.

Duties

• Conduct property showings and provide detailed information about available units to prospective tenants.
• Manage the application process, including screening applicants and verifying information.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, including data entry and filing of documents.
• Assist in resolving tenant issues and conflicts through effective conflict management strategies.
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
• Utilize property management software appfolio for tracking leases and tenant communications.
• Uphold Fair Housing regulations in all leasing activities and interactions with potential tenants.
• Engage in upselling additional services or amenities to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention. Skills
• Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Section 8 housing programs.
• Experience in sales, customer service, or property leasing is essential.
• Familiarity with real estate administrative tasks and facilities management is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on contracts related to property leasing.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry, filing, and administrative duties.
• Ability to manage customer relationships effectively using CRM tools.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
• Demonstrated phone etiquette and professionalism in all communications.
