We're hiring an Assistant Manager to lead sales and local marketing efforts at our LA Fitness club. This is a hands-on, commission-driven role: you'll coach the sales team, generate leads (names & numbers), run local marketing, and close memberships and personal training sales. Key Responsibilities

• Generate inbound and outbound leads daily by collecting member and prospect names and phone numbers through phone, text, email, social media, and in-person outreach.
• Manage and coach the front-desk and membership sales team to meet daily/weekly membership and PT targets.
• Run local marketing and community outreach: door-to-door canvassing, handing out guest passes, social media promotion, and partnerships with nearby businesses.
• Lead tours, assess prospects' needs, present membership options, and close sales.
• Maintain a daily log of leads, follow-ups, and outcomes; ensure CRM/contact lists are current.
• Create and execute weekly sales game-plans and promotional calendars with measurable goals.
• Handle escalated member issues professionally and support club operations (opening/closing, cleanliness, staffing).
• Track KPIs: tours/day, contact attempts/day, leads collected, conversion rate, revenue, and retention metrics.

Required Qualifications

• Proven sales experience; gym/fitness sales or retail sales strongly preferred.
• Comfortable collecting contact info and conducting outbound outreach (calls, texts, DMs).
• Strong coaching, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of hitting quotas.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with CRMs and social media marketing preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college or certifications a plus. Performance Targets (examples you can customize)
• Minimum 5 tours/day and 23 new memberships closed per day (or club-specific targets).
• Collect X new prospect names/numbers per week (recommend 50+).
• Maintain a conversion rate of Y% (set based on club history).
