Job Title: Puppy Sales Consultant

Pay Range

: $14 - $36 Location: Petland Gahanna Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Reports To: Store Manager or owner

Job Summary

: As a Puppy Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in connecting families with their ideal canine companions. You'll provide exceptional customer service, educate potential pet owners about breed characteristics and care needs, and ensure all puppies are matched with responsible and loving homes. This role requires compassion, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Greet and assist customers in selecting puppies that best fit their lifestyle and preferences
• Educate customers on breed traits, care requirements, feeding, grooming, and training
• Ensure the health, safety, and cleanliness of all animals and their living spaces
• Provide accurate documentation, including health records, registration papers, and warranties
• Follow ethical sales practices and ensure compliance with animal welfare standards
• Work closely with support staff to maintain puppy health
• Maintain merchandise displays and assist with inventory related to pet supplies
• Process sales transactions and follow up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction
• Contribute to a positive and professional store environment

Qualifications

:

• Previous experience in retail sales or pet care (preferred)
• Passion for animals and knowledge of dog breeds, behavior, and care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform light cleaning duties What We Offer:
