Community Sales & Brand Manager Grand Traverse Pie Company Plymouth, MI Full-time

About the Role

Grand Traverse Pie Company is hiring a Community Sales & Brand Manager to represent our Plymouth location and grow our presence throughout the surrounding community. This person will be responsible for building catering and fundraising sales by developing relationships with local businesses, schools, nonprofits, churches, civic groups, medical offices, hotels, and community organizations. This is a sales role with local marketing responsibilities. You will be out in the community, meeting people, opening doors, following up, creating opportunities, and helping turn Grand Traverse Pie Company into the go-to choice for catering, fundraising, and local gatherings. You will report directly to the Vice President of Grand Traverse Pie Company and work closely with the Plymouth store leadership team.

What You'll Do

Catering Sales

• Grow catering sales with local offices, schools, medical offices, hotels, churches, event planners, civic groups, and community organizations
• Build and manage a local prospect list for Plymouth, Canton, Northville, Livonia, and surrounding communities
• Develop relationships with office managers, school contacts, HR teams, event planners, and business owners
• Help customers choose catering options for meetings, staff lunches, training sessions, events, celebrations, and gatherings
• Follow up with past catering customers to drive repeat business
• Track sales activity, leads, quotes, booked orders, and customer follow-up
• Partner with store leadership to ensure catering orders are realistic, well-planned, and well-executed Fundraising Sales
• Build fundraising partnerships with schools, PTO/PTA groups, booster clubs, youth sports teams, churches, nonprofits, and local organizations
• Present Grand Traverse Pie Company fundraising programs in a clear and professional way
• Help organizations plan campaigns that are simple, organized, and successful
• Maintain a fundraising calendar for the local market
• Follow up before, during, and after campaigns to support strong results and repeat participation Community Brand Building
• Represent Grand Traverse Pie Company at local chamber events, school events, networking opportunities, community gatherings, and business meetings
• Build strong relationships with community leaders and local organizations
• Identify local events, partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and outreach ideas that support sales growth
• Help make Grand Traverse Pie Company more visible and connected in the Plymouth-area community Local Marketing
• Create simple, brand-appropriate social media and email marketing materials that support catering, fundraising, and local store sales
• Develop local marketing ideas around pies, catering, holidays, fundraising, office lunches, school programs, and community events
• Capture useful photos, customer stories, local wins, and campaign ideas
• Use basic tools such as Canva, email marketing platforms, and social media channels
• Work within Grand Traverse Pie Company brand standards What We're Looking For The right person is outgoing, organized, persistent, and professional. Qualifications

• Experience in catering sales, event sales, hospitality sales, local store marketing, fundraising, nonprofit development, community outreach, or a related field
• Strong sales and relationship-building skills
• Ability to prospect, follow up, and close local sales opportunities
• Comfortable speaking with business owners, school administrators, office managers, nonprofit leaders, and community contacts
• Ability to create basic social media, email, and flyer-style marketing materials
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple contacts, campaigns, and follow-ups
• Comfortable using basic technology, including email, spreadsheets, social media, and task management tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to work occasional mornings, evenings, or community events as needed What Makes Someone Successful in This Role This role is for someone who can build trust locally and convert that trust into catering and fundraising sales. You will be expected to:

Compensation

• Salary range: $55,000 per year, based on experience
• Performance-based bonus paid monthly

• Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel Schedule This is a full-time position. The schedule will vary based on sales calls, community events, catering opportunities, and store needs. Some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends may be required. Work Location This role is based in the Plymouth market. Regular local travel is required.
