About the Role

As a Sales Applications Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical bridge between client manufacturing needs and our internal engineering teams. You will leverage your expertise in CNC automation and process development to design high-impact manufacturing solutions that drive customer success and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex RFQs and technical specifications to architect efficient, scalable manufacturing process flows.
• Develop detailed system layouts and equipment configurations that optimize production performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate technical feasibility and ensure all proposals meet rigorous engineering standards.
• Generate comprehensive technical quotations and cost analyses, ensuring alignment with both client requirements and corporate profitability targets.
• Act as a technical consultant during customer presentations, utilizing your deep knowledge of machining processes like gear hobbing and laser processing to influence key decision-makers.
• Coordinate with external suppliers to secure accurate pricing and lead-time data for integrated system proposals.
• Maintain a competitive edge by staying current on emerging automation technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or capital equipment integration.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in data manipulation and project budgeting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support client engagements. Preferred Skills
• Hands-on experience with CNC automation solutions and robotics.
• Advanced knowledge of specialized machining processes such as ECM/PECM or gear grinding.
• Proven track record in managing the full lifecycle of technical proposals for industrial systems.
