Overview

Life insurance sells on trust, not pressure. Smith Davis Insurance is looking for a licensed, experienced Life Insurance Sales Representative who can sit with a client, understand what they're protecting, and close the business without a script. You'll work a mix of warm leads from our personal and commercial lines team and your own outbound prospecting. No door to door sales, ever. Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Requirements

• Active life insurance license required
• Prior experience selling life insurance required
• You're patient and can build trust quickly, since these conversations are personal
• You can explain complex products in simple, human terms
• Picking up the phone doesn't scare you, it energizes you
• You can ask for the sale without flinching, even when the topic is sensitive
• You can manage a long sales cycle and stay organized across many opportunities

Responsibilities

• Respond to leads and referral opportunities for life insurance
• Conduct needs based discovery conversations to understand clients' financial and family protection goals
• Present and explain life insurance options clearly, including term, whole, and other policy types
• Prospect by phone to generate new business
• Follow up consistently and confidently ask for the business
• Build long-term relationships that lead to referrals and repeat business
• Partner with our personal and commercial lines team to identify cross sell opportunities
