Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, offering product demos when appropriate to enhance their experience
• Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Manage cash drawer handling with precision, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly using basic math skills
• Upsell products by recommending additional items or promotions to maximize sales opportunities
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays regularly to maintain an organized and inviting store environment
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using effective communication skills
• Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Experience supervising or leading a team is an advantage but not required; leadership qualities are valued
• Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
