Overview

In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets shoppers, handles transactions with precision, and provides expert product guidance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills while contributing to a vibrant community-focused store We are looking to hire 1 person, that is available to work at both our Georgetown and Rainier store location. Having your own reliable transportation is hugely preferred. We do background checks and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs to enhance their experience
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently
• Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with attention to detail and integrity
• Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to attract customer attention
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and conducting stock counts
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
• Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Support team supervision by mentoring new staff or assisting in daily store operations

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or retail stores is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively
• Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions
