Introduction Willamette Artisans is a thriving fine jewelry company founded in 2009, located in Eugene, Oregon. We have a knowledgeable staff and a full workshop on premise that specializes in custom jewelry and repair. We are known in the community for our high-quality of workmanship, integrity, kindness, knowledge, respect and willingness to meet our client's needs. Position Description Willamette Artisans is seeking a creative, client-focused Jewelry Designer and Sales Consultant to join our team. This position blends fine jewelry sales, custom design, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine jewelry and gemstones, has an appreciation for design and craftsmanship, and enjoys helping clients celebrate life's most meaningful moments. As a key member of our team, you will guide clients through the design process, assist with jewelry repairs, and provide a welcoming and personalized showroom experience. You will collaborate closely with our in-house CAD designers and bench jewelers to bring one-of-a-kind pieces to life while building lasting relationships with our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

Custom Design:

• Consult with clients to develop custom jewelry designs that reflect their vision, style and budgetary guidelines.
• Guide clients through the custom design experience by explaining materials, gemstones, construction methods and design possibilities.
• Create hand-drawn sketches during consultations to communicate design concepts and ensure alignment before production begins.
• Collaborate with our in-house CAD designers and bench jewelers to ensure that each piece is crafted to the highest standards and client specifications.
• Manage custom projects from concept to completion, maintaining clear and consistent communication with clients through the process.
• Build lasting relationships through exceptional service, encouraging repeat business and referrals. Jewelry Repair Services:
• Consult with clients regarding jewelry repairs, restorations, and alterations.
• Evaluate jewelry brought in for repair and recommend appropriate solutions and/or additional services when applicable.
• Accurately document repair details, pricing estimates and expected completion dates.
• Coordinate with office staff and bench jewelers to ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently and on schedule. Fine Jewelry Sales:
• Assist clientele in selecting jewelry from our in-house collection.
• Deliver an exceptional, personalized experience that reflects the quality, craftsmanship and reputation of Willamette Artisans.
• Identify opportunities to introduce custom design services and additional jewelry solutions that meet client's needs. Operations and Showroom Support:
• Maintain organized records of custom projects, repair orders, and client communications.
• Respond professionally to in-person inquiries, phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment.
• Support daily store operations and contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience in fine jewelry design.
• Strong customer service and client relationship-building skills.
• Ability to sketch jewelry designs by hand during client consultations (training available as needed).
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the team as needed. Preferred:
• Experience working with custom jewelry design and production.
• Knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry construction techniques.
• Experience collaborating with CAD designers and bench jewelers.
• Previous experience in luxury retail or fine jewelry sales.
