Role

Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the Nashville commercial sector. You will be the primary "hunter," responsible for identifying and securing high-value maintenance contracts and large-scale enhancement projects. This role requires a consultative, relationship-led approach to selling premium landscaping solutions to decision-makers across Nashville's most prestigious commercial assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Targeted Prospecting: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, high-level networking, and industry event participation.
• Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term partnerships with commercial real estate developers, property management groups, and regional facility directors.
• Proposal & Presentation: Conduct on-site property walkthroughs to assess needs, collaborate with estimating teams to create tailored proposals, and present solutions to senior executives.
• Sales Lifecycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution, maintaining an active pipeline in the CRM.
• Leverage Technology: Utilize Salesforce CRM to accurately track all prospect data, activities, and market intelligence. Target Verticals You will focus on expanding our footprint within the following high-growth sectors in Middle Tennessee:
• Healthcare & Medical Campuses: Selling to Nashville's world-class hospital systems and outpatient facilities.
• High-End Retail & Mixed-Use: Targeting lifestyle centers, premium shopping districts, and "Live-Work-Play" developments.
• Class A Corporate Offices: Managing relationships with downtown towers and suburban corporate headquarters.
• Hospitality & Resorts: Partnering with luxury hotels and entertainment venues.
• Industrial & Logistics: Securing large-scale distribution centers and tech parks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 35+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience, ideally in commercial landscaping, construction, or facility services.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Horticulture preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional negotiation, high-stakes presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Aspire) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
