Position Summary

The HVAC Selling Technician is a high-performance service professional responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing residential HVAC systems while identifying opportunities for indoor air quality upgrades, system enhancements, and full system replacements (AOR). This role blends technical expertise, customer education, and ethical sales execution. Responsibilities

Technical Service & Diagnostics

• Perform residential service calls, tune-ups, and maintenance visits
• Diagnose system failures accurately and efficiently
• Repair HVAC components (contactors, capacitors, motors, controls, etc.)
• Identify airflow, static pressure, and system performance issues
• Educate homeowners on maintenance and system longevity Revenue & Sales Performance
• Present repair vs. replacement options clearly and confidently
• Identify and recommend IAQ products (UV lights, media filters, dehumidifiers, etc.)
• Generate replacement leads and set appointments when appropriate
• Close accessory and IAQ opportunities during service calls
• Maintain strong average ticket performance and conversion rates Customer Experience
• Deliver 5-star service experience on every visit
• Communicate professionally and clearly
• Build trust through education, not pressure
• Document calls thoroughly and accurately in CRM
• Follow up when needed to secure outstanding estimates Performance Expectations
• Maintain strong service average ticket
• Consistent IAQ sales performance
• Generate quality replacement opportunities
• High close rate on repair recommendations
• Strong review ratings (Google & internal surveys)
• Accurate and detailed call notes

Qualifications

• 2+ years residential HVAC experience preferred
• EPA Certification (Required)
• Strong diagnostic ability
• Ability to communicate technical issues in simple terms
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Comfortable discussing pricing and presenting options
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
