Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated, and driven Counter & Inside Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires a critical thinker who thrives on multitasking and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. You will be the face of our branch for walk-in customers and a vital backbone for our inside sales team. For the right individual, this position serves as a direct pipeline for career advancement, offering future opportunities to transition into a permanent Inside Sales or Outside Sales role.

Key Responsibilities

Counter & Customer Service: Greet walk-in customers, identify their needs, provide product recommendations, and deliver exceptional service. Order Processing: Accurately enter, track, and fulfill customer orders via phone, email, and in-person requests. Inventory Control: Assist with receiving stock, managing inventory counts, organizing the warehouse, and ensuring product availability for customers. Inside Sales Support: Partner with the inside sales team to source parts, generate quotes, and follow up on customer inquiries. Problem Solving & Multitasking: Use critical thinking skills to resolve customer challenges efficiently while balancing multiple tasks in a fast- moving environment.

Qualifications

& Skills Drive & Initiative: Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn a deeply technical product line. Critical Thinking: Ability to assess a customer's problem and independently find practical solutions. Multitasking Mastery: Proven ability to manage counter traffic, phone calls, and administrative tasks seamlessly. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to [50 lbs.] as part of inventory handling. Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in industrial supply, mining and aggregate parts, or a fast-paced retail/commercial counter environment is a huge plus, but we will train the right motivated individual.
