A fiberglass tank manufacturer is currently seeking an Engineer / Estimator for an opportunity near Ocean Springs, MS. This is direct hire position with an opportunity to join a fabrication company with over 45 years' experience providing support to many of the world's largest companies in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Wastewater, Industrial Water, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Mining, Pharmaceutical, and Food & Beverage industries. This position offers a well-rounded set of responsibilities including engineering, cost estimating, & project management. Responsibilities

:

• Individual will spend a large majority of his/her time providing cost estimates, based upon customer / project specific set of standards and specifications, for the production of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) products including FRP Tanks, Pipe, Duct, Hoods, Scrubbers & Process Equipment, Stacks & Stack Liners.
• Provide preliminary design on FRP process equipment in accordance with ASME RTP-1, ASTM D3299 and/or ASTM D4097 standards.
• Interface as-needed directly with clients regarding scope of work, applicable standards, scheduling, adjustments, etc.
• Review quotes and purchase orders to clarify technical requirements, pricing, and/or revisions to pricing.
• Provide technical assistance to the sales team regarding quotes, bids, etc.

Requirements

:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, thougha mechanically minded, detailed individual with a solid mathbackground and/or experience in manufacturing would be more than sufficient.
• Must be proficient in reading engineered drawings, performing material takeoffs, and familiar with manufacturing / construction specifications.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel.
• Ability to communicate technical engineering information to less technical professionals and customers. Preferred:
• Experience in Mathcad, Corel Quattro Pro, and knowledge of / experience with engineering Codes & Standards including ASME, ASCE and IBC Job Type: Full-time
