Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Installation Supervisor to oversee the residential sod sales and installation process from initial site visit to project completion. This role is responsible for visiting customer properties, gathering accurate measurements, preparing sod estimates, and coordinating with third-party installers to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience. The ideal candidate combines sales ability, product knowledge, and strong organizational skills to deliver a successful and professional installation process that results in a Happy Customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

• Visit residential customer properties to assess project needs and take accurate measurements, site requirements, and recommend the right solution for the customer
• Prepare and present sod estimates in a professional and timely manner
• Educate customers on sod types, installation process, care, and best practices
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the entire sales and installation lifecycle
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns Measuring & Estimating
• Accurately measure job sites and document square footage and site conditions
• Capture all job details using phone, tablet, or laptop systems
• Identify potential installation challenges (grading, access, irrigation, etc.)
• Ensure estimates are complete and ready for scheduling and execution Installation Coordination
• Coordinate scheduling with third-party installation crews
• Communicate project details clearly to installers to ensure expectations are met
• Monitor progress and manage installations to ensure quality and timeliness
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customer, sod vendor and installer
• Resolve issues quickly to maintain customer satisfaction Operations & Communication
• Maintain organized digital records of estimates, jobs, and customer information
• Use company technology (phone, tablet, laptop) to manage workflow efficiently
• Collaborate with store and management teams on scheduling and product availability
• Ensure all projects are completed according to company standards

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record to use company vehicle
• Previous sales experience preferred (outdoor or home services a plus)
• Knowledge of sod types, landscaping, or installation strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Comfortable using technology (mobile apps, tablets, laptops)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Skills
• Experience measuring and estimating landscaping or construction projects
• Background working with subcontractors or installation crews
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
