Full description of the position

We are looking for a sales associate passionate about helping others make music! Expertise in band and orchestra instruments would be ideal, but we are looking for any musician willing to learn about other products. Excellence in customer service required. This is a full-time position 40 hours/week including Saturdays but we support your music-making opportunities with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

and Priorities

• 1) Assist customers in main floor sales and instrument rental
• 2) Answer phone
• 3) Assist with pricing, display and unpacking merchandise.
• 4) Any other task requested by management that contributes to the success of the business
• Assist with physical inventory each December or as often as requested
• Attend school rental programs as scheduled (high season April-September)
• Potential for school route 1-2 days per week in future

Requirements

• Music knowledge, multiple disciplines and instruments helpful.
• Retail experience preferred with excellence in customer service.
• Good computer skills, able to follow directions, able to learn new software programs.
• Flexibility in scheduling (typically 30 days & 60 days notice).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record. Additional
