Mental Health Business Development Representative | All Territories Alter Behavioral Health is an adult mental health treatment provider with a network of upscale inpatient residential facilities in Orange County and San Diego.

  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM + flexible hours as needed

As a Business Development Representative , you will play a vital role in expanding access to care by building trusted relationships and strengthening referral networks across the Los Angeles region. This role is not traditional sales it's about partnership, education, and connecting individuals and families to life-changing mental health treatment.

What You'll Do

Business Development & Outreach

  • Promote Alter Behavioral Health's services within assigned territory
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with clinicians, hospitals, schools, and treatment providers
  • Conduct in-person meetings, calls, emails, and outreach activities
  • Meet or exceed admissions goals and outreach activity benchmarks Community & Industry Engagement
  • Represent Alter Behavioral Health at conferences, networking events, and industry functions
  • Coordinate and participate in workshops, presentations, and community outreach initiatives
  • Educate referral partners on programs, admissions processes, and care offerings Strategy, Reporting & Collaboration
  • Utilize CRM systems to track outreach activity and manage territory plans
  • Maintain accurate referral databases and pipeline reporting
  • Submit weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Collaborate with leadership, admissions, clinical, and marketing teams on growth strategies
  • Manage business development expenses within assigned budget What We're Looking For

  • Passionate about behavioral health and expanding access to care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Established referral network within healthcare or behavioral health community
  • Experience using CRM systems for pipeline and outreach tracking
  • Background in marketing, admissions, or clinical coordination
  • Experience representing organizations at events or conferences
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience in business development, outreach, admissions, or related roles within behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment
  • Familiarity with residential treatment programs and referral processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
  • Valid California Driver's License required
  • CPR & First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Must pass Live Scan fingerprint clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Physical
Requirements
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, driving, and computer use
  • Ability to attend events, meetings, and presentations as required Compliance Employment is contingent upon:
