The ReStore is a building materials outlet store owned and operated by Trinity Habitat for Humanity. We are seeking a part-time sales associate that can interact with and provide excellent service to our customers. This position has an emphasis on helping customers and donors load/unload their purchases/donations, so the ability to lift up to 75 lbs is required.
Job Description
ReStore Team Member ReStore Associate Full-Time General Description: Under the direction of the ReStore Manager, the ReStore Associate / Stocker is an agency Problem Solver. Broadly speaking he or she has responsibility for greeting customers at the store, assisting them with their purchase, and helping customers load their vehicle if necessary. Additional responsibilities include: ringing-up customers on the cash register and answering the phones when needed. Problem Solvers are the foundation of the agency. They are empowered to solve problems and to efficiently handle a mountain of critical and required tasks. Problem solvers are incredibly well organized, make the agency look professional and ensure excellent audits. They make sure important details do not slip through the cracks. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities He or she must:
- Communicate with customers effectively in a courteous manner
- Handle donated materials that arrive at the ReStore
- Sort and stock materials by department
- Ensure the store is safe and clean
- Lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs Job Conditions Position is full-time (approximately 40 hours a week). Evening and weekend work is required. It is a non-exempt position. Responsibilities
: 1. Assist donors with unloading donations 2. Assist with loading and unloading trucks. 3. Assist customers with loading their purchases as necessary 4. Price incoming donations as needed 5. Stock incoming materials as needed in their appropriate location 6. Utilize available volunteers to assist with proper stocking 7. Ring up customers at the cash register as needed 8. Answer phone and direct incoming calls as needed 9. Ensure that the store is clean, organized and safe 10. Provide outstanding customer service to customers and donors Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $16.52 per hour Ability to Commute:
