We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and professional Front Office & Reservations Specialist to join our team in beautiful Dana Point Harbor. This is not an entry-level position. Five or more years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment is required. We are looking for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys helping people, and can confidently manage multiple responsibilities while delivering an exceptional guest experience. As a Front Office & Reservations Specialist, you will be the first impression of Dana Wharf. You'll assist guests with reservations, answer phones, check in passengers, process payments, and help ensure our daily operations run smoothly in a fun, fast-paced waterfront environment.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude. Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls. Book whale watching trips, sportfishing trips, cruises, and private charters. Process reservations, payments, gift cards, and retail merchandise sales. Check guests in for departures and provide trip information. Answer questions regarding schedules, parking, directions, and trip details. Coordinate with captains, crew, and office staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintain an organized and professional front office. Assist with daily office operations and support the team as needed. Create a positive first impression for every guest who visits Dana Wharf.
Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment is required. Previous experience in front office operations, reservations, retail management, hotel front desk, marina operations, tourism, recreation, attraction admissions, or a similar high-volume business is strongly preferred. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn reservation software. Experience handling multiple phone lines while assisting guests in person. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient during busy periods. Comfortable processing reservations, payments, gift cards, and retail merchandise sales. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Available to work weekends and holidays. Knowledge of boating, fishing, marine life, or Dana Point is a plus, but not required.
