Service Writer Position

Overview

The Service Advisor acts as the bridge between the Service Technician and the Client. This position is a key role in providing an exceptional experience for our clientele. The Service Advisor must be able to communicate complex vehicle operations, technician diagnostics and recommended repairs in layman's terms, all while providing an upscale and luxurious service experience. Strong sales experience is mandatory. We are looking for a motivated leader to help take our business to the next level.

Responsibilities

Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs. Set, confirm, and prepare for client appointments in order to provide an exceptional service experience. Greet clients in a friendly manner when they arrive. Answer phones in a friendly manner and answer any questions clients may have. Determine vehicle needs based on client information, a vehicle walk-around and the technicians' digital inspections. Obtain accurate client and vehicle information, clearly reporting all vehicle symptoms as described by the client. Use a consultative selling process to assist clients in planning for ongoing required maintenance and/or repairs of their vehicle. Produce accurate and detailed repair orders, including parts and labor cost along with estimated completion times. Complete accurate and detailed estimates for maintenance and repairs, with full transparency. Communicate frequently with technicians, clients and other company employees to ensure timely completion of work. Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, updating clients frequently of the status. Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order and that the invoice meets all requirements prior to closing. Clearly explain all completed work and charges to the client and be able to process cash/credit/debit card payments. Gain superior product knowledge and use company parts catalogs/resources to effectively and efficiently assist clientele. Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the targeted client satisfaction index. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire service process. Job Information: Full Time Monday - Friday Salary Base + Commission + Bonus Pay

Requirements

- ALL REQUIRED Must have 1-3 years prior European Automotive sales/service experience High school diploma or equivalent Proven ability to provide an exceptional client service experience Ability to set and achieve targeted goals Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and technicians Strong time management and organizational skills Experience and desire to work with technology Valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable, safe driving record Must have basic computer knowledge and typing skills. Must have general automotive knowledge. Must have exceptional customer service skills Must maintain a positive energy level with customer-focused attitude, and ability to work well in a team environment. Must possess personal and professional integrity. Personal appearance must be professional at all times. Must have strong sales skills and experience.
