Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers while driving sales and maintaining store standards.

Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash register transactions accurately.
• Assist in managing inventory, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
• Utilize retail math skills to process sales transactions and manage cash handling responsibilities effectively.
• Promote products through upselling techniques, enhancing the overall customer experience.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to create an inviting shopping environment.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of retail math concepts to assist in sales transactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
