Position Summary

The Commercial & Residential Sales Consultant is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, and closing sales throughout San Luis Obispo County and surrounding areas. This position works with homeowners, architects, general contractors, developers, property managers, wineries, hospitality clients, and public agencies. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing a residential patio cover with a homeowner and reviewing project requirements with a construction professional. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Follow up on sales leads
• Developing business opportunities
• Fundamental knowledge of all Shoreline products
• Communicating with customers regarding design ideas
• Drafting plans
• Meeting with customers in their home/business
• Meet with management for weekly sales meetings LOCATION Shoreline Awning and Patio, Inc. is located at 3514 Combine Street in Paso Robles, CA. REQUIREMENTS The Sales Consultant position requires strong customer service skills, as you are the face of Shoreline when meeting with customers. In addition, Sales Representatives should:
• Have knowledge of, or able to learn, patio products including awnings, patio covers, and heaters
• Have at least basic knowledge of construction
• 2+ years in sales
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Be comfortable speaking with homeowners and business owners about their opinions on the job
• Be a self-motivated individual
• Be capable of reading plans and blueprints
• Reliable transportation
• Clean driving record
• Clean, professional appearance The following skills are not required, but are a plus:
• Background in construction
• Background in design
