Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage inventory, and contribute to merchandising efforts while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting with their inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities.
• Maintain proper stocking levels on shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively.
• Assist in merchandising efforts to promote sales and enhance the shopping experience.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
• Perform daily cleaning and ensure store tidiness.
• Follow leadership directions and support overall store operations Work closely with the team to achieve sales goals

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with merchandising principles and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
