Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and encourage purchases.
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting relevant items.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism, utilizing strong communication skills.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Uphold company policies regarding phone etiquette and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the shopping experience.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in sales analysis and inventory management.
• A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products to meet sales targets.
