Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join The Wald & Sea team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication, merchandising, and product demonstrations. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Help other staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, employing strong phone etiquette when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
• May work on E-Commerce and social media as well, depending on interest level and availability.
• May need to switch gears and field ad hoc requests. The store is a dynamic environment so the work and deliverables are constantly evolving.
• There is an opportunity to learn buying and product development as well.
• Any additional skills such as graphics, photoshop or photography welcome.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality environments is preferred.
• Comfortable with using technology (Shopify POS register, online schedule, etc)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
• Experience with cash handling procedures is essential.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and inventory management is a plus.
• Knowledge of trends, decor, design, apparel and especially jewelry very helpful.

• Must work most weekends (3 weekends per month) and some holidays, especially month of December.
